Proxies are a neutral tool with legitimate uses: price monitoring, ad verification, brand protection, SEO measurement, market research, QA testing from other countries, and managing multiple legitimate accounts. This policy exists to draw the line between that and abuse.
Absolutely prohibited
These end an account immediately, with no refund, and where required are reported to the relevant authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form, at any point in the chain.
- Unauthorised access to systems or accounts: credential stuffing, brute forcing, exploiting vulnerabilities, or logging into accounts that are not yours and that you have no permission to use.
- Payment fraud, carding, testing stolen card or account data, and money laundering.
- Denial-of-service traffic, amplification, or any attempt to exhaust a target's resources.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, phishing pages, or command-and-control traffic.
- Spam: bulk unsolicited email, SMS, or messaging platform abuse.
- Harassment, stalking, doxxing, or threats against a person.
- Circumventing sanctions, or use by or on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity.
Not allowed, but usually fixable
These get a warning and a request to stop before anything more serious happens:
- Request rates high enough to damage a small target rather than merely read it.
- Reselling access to the network without a written agreement with us.
- Sharing one account's credentials across unrelated organisations.
- Scraping personal data in a way that breaches applicable data protection law.
Your own responsibility
You are responsible for knowing whether what you are doing is legal where you are, where your target is, and where the exit IP is. A proxy changes where your traffic appears to come from; it does not change what the law says about what you do.
How we enforce
We act on abuse complaints from upstream network providers and from the operators of targeted sites. We do not read the content of your traffic in order to police it — we see volume, destination-level abuse reports, and nothing else. Where a complaint names your credentials, we will come to you with it.
If anything here is unclear, email service@pyproxy.com before you buy. We would rather answer a question than process a dispute.
