PIA S5 and PYPROXY died together. Here's what actually survived.

If you came here from PIA S5 — you're in the right graveyard. PIA S5 Proxy and PYPROXY were sister brands built on the same IPIDEA network family, and the same takedown killed them both. But the residential pool behind PIA didn't vanish — access to it just changed shape.

One family, one funeral

911 set the model; 922, PIA S5, PYPROXY, LunaProxy and ABCProxy scaled it: proprietary client, per-IP billing, one shared upstream. In January 2026 Google dismantled the IPIDEA ecosystem and the brands collapsed in a chain — PIA S5 users lost logins and balances in the spring, PYPROXY followed in August. Different logos, same backend, same ending.

The part nobody tells you: the PIA pool is still online

The takedown killed the brands and their billing, not every underlying network. The residential pool that PIA S5 resold is still reachable through independent suppliers — sold as normal per-GB traffic with standard credentials instead of a client app:
