PYPROXY download — stop, the client is dead

The PYPROXY desktop app was a login window into infrastructure that was switched off in August 2026. Downloading it today gets you a program that connects to nothing — or worse, a repack with a stealer inside.

What "PYPROXY download" gets you in 2026

The original installer — technically genuine, but the servers it talks to no longer exist. It will sit on the login screen forever.
Repacked installers on mirror sites — the classic payload targets proxy users specifically: browser profiles, saved passwords, Telegram sessions, crypto wallet files.
"PYPROXY v2 / unlocked" builds that ask for a top-up before "activation". That money is gone the moment you send it.

If you already ran an installer from a mirror site: change passwords from a clean device, re-log Telegram, move crypto to fresh wallets. Assume saved browser data leaked.

Why you don't need a client at all

The proprietary app existed to lock your balance into one platform — which is exactly why that balance died with the platform. Modern residential and static ISP products issue standard credentials: you generate a proxy in a web dashboard and get ip:port:user:pass that works in any browser, antidetect profile, phone or bot. SOCKS5 and HTTP, nothing to install, nothing that can die with a company.
